Jennifer Chapman Fractional CMO for Growing Businesses

We bring strategic marketing leadership, alignment between teams and vendors, and accountable performance — so you stop reacting and start growing.

You’ve hired agencies.
Brought in freelancers.
Maybe built a small internal team.
Updated the website.
Tried paid ads.

You’ve put in the effort.

And yet — results feel uneven.
The message isn’t as clear as it should be.
Campaigns don’t quite connect.
No one fully owns the numbers.

At a certain point, it’s not about doing more.

It’s about having someone step in and bring clarity, direction, and accountability to the whole picture.

Meet the Founder
Jennifer Chapman

Fractional CMO & Strategic Marketing Advisor

Jennifer Chapman is a strategic marketing leader with more than twenty years of experience helping organizations turn marketing into a disciplined growth driver.

Throughout her career, Jennifer has led marketing strategy, brand positioning, and performance initiatives across digital, social, and traditional channels. She is known for bringing clarity to complex environments — aligning leadership teams, strengthening messaging, and installing reporting structures that connect marketing activity directly to revenue outcomes.

As a Fractional CMO, Jennifer partners with established, growth-minded organizations that are ready for executive-level marketing leadership but don’t require a full-time Chief Marketing Officer. She works closely with founders, heads of school, nonprofit executives, and professional service leaders to develop focused 90-day roadmaps, improve marketing ROI, and build scalable systems for sustainable growth.

Her approach blends strategic discipline with thoughtful collaboration. She is particularly skilled at assessing existing teams and vendor relationships, identifying structural gaps, and creating clear accountability frameworks that improve both efficiency and performance.

Jennifer holds a B.A. in Studio Art and Graphic Design from Eastern Connecticut State University and an M.A. in Educational Technology from the University of Connecticut, with a focus on advertising, public relations, marketing strategy, and project management.

Based in Connecticut, she works with organizations across New England that value mission, clarity, and long-term growth.

Company ethos

Marketing shouldn’t create stress. It should create clarity.

The numbers matter — but so does the story.

We start with strategy, not tactics.

We focus on what actually moves the needle.

And we build systems that make growth feel steady.

Services

Marketing Strategy & Revenue Architecture

We build disciplined marketing roadmaps tied directly to revenue targets. Clear priorities. Clear KPIs. Clear accountability. No scattered tactics.

We define who you serve, why you win, and how you communicate it consistently. Strong positioning eliminates confusion and accelerates growth.

Brand Positioning & Messaging

Customer Acquisition & Channel Strategy

We design multi-channel acquisition systems that generate qualified pipeline — not just impressions. Every channel works together toward revenue.

We architect and refine conversion pathways from awareness to close. Shorter sales cycles. Higher conversion rates. Measurable ROI.

Campaign & Funnel Optimization

We install reporting frameworks that tie marketing to business impact. Strategy evolves based on data — not assumptions.

Performance & KPI Governance

We provide executive-level marketing leadership — aligning internal teams and agencies around shared targets and performance standards.

Team Leadership & Vendor Oversight

  • You bring on a Fractional CMO when marketing is active — but growth isn’t.

If any of this sounds familiar, you’re ready:

    • Revenue has stalled or feels unpredictable

    • Your messaging is inconsistent across channels

    • Agencies are executing without strategic oversight

    • Campaigns are running, but ROI is unclear

    • You’re preparing for a launch, expansion, or next growth phase — and don’t have a strategic leader driving it

At a certain stage, more tactics won’t fix the problem.

    You don’t need another vendor.
    You need executive marketing leadership.

    A Fractional CMO delivers:

    • A 90-day strategic roadmap tied directly to revenue

    • Clear KPIs and performance accountability

    • Alignment between leadership, sales, and marketing

    • Vendor oversight and resource optimization

    • A scalable structure built for sustainable growth

If your business is generating $1M+ and marketing still feels reactive, fragmented, or inefficient — it’s time to bring in leadership.

  • Fractional CMO engagements are built around outcomes — not arbitrary hour blocks.

Most companies begin with a focused strategy phase. This is where we:

    • Audit current marketing performance

    • Align leadership around revenue targets

    • Define KPIs and funnel stages

    • Build a clear 90-day roadmap

This initial phase typically requires more concentrated involvement.

Once strategy and structure are in place, engagement stabilizes into ongoing leadership and oversight — ensuring execution stays aligned and accountable.

For most growth-stage businesses, this ranges from:

    • 10–15 hours per month for strategic oversight and vendor management

    • Up to 15–20 hours per week during periods of rapid growth, restructuring, or major launches

The right level of support depends on your current infrastructure, revenue goals, and internal team capacity.

The objective isn’t to “fill hours.”
It’s to install the right level of executive marketing leadership to drive measurable growth.

  • I don’t limit my work to a single industry — I align with organizations at a specific stage of growth.

Most of my experience has been with:

    • Private schools and educational institutions

    • Nonprofits and mission-driven organizations

    • Founder-led and growth-stage businesses

What connects them isn’t sector — it’s structure.

    They are established.
    They are investing in marketing.
And they are ready for it to operate at a strategic, accountable level.

My work centers on executive marketing leadership — aligning positioning, performance, and revenue. Those fundamentals translate across industries. Clear strategy, disciplined execution, and measurable ROI are universal growth drivers.

That said, I’m particularly drawn to organizations with strong missions and long-term vision — where marketing is not just promotional, but foundational to impact.

  • Chapman Consulting Co. grew out of experience — and a pattern I kept seeing.

After more than 20 years in executive marketing roles, including serving as a Chief Marketing Officer, I saw how often organizations were investing in marketing without having senior leadership truly overseeing it. Good people were working hard. Agencies were producing. Budgets were being spent.

But no one was fully accountable for how it all connected to revenue.

Chapman Consulting Co. was built to fill that gap and founded in Norwich, CT.

It’s not an agency. It’s not a collection of contractors. It’s an executive partnership model — designed for established businesses that need strategic clarity without adding a full-time CMO to payroll.

The firm reflects the way I’ve always worked: steady, structured, revenue-focused, and practical. Clear strategy first. Measurable execution second.

It started as a natural extension of my career — and has grown into a focused practice serving organizations that are ready for marketing to operate at a higher level.
